Nurture Your Body
Acupuncture is often a treatment that women use during their fertility and pregnancy journey as a gentle (and relaxing) way to support overall wellbeing. Many find that it can promote deep relaxation and restore balance, potentially aiding the body's natural rhythms throughout the various stages of conception, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. It is typically integrated thoughtfully alongside conventional medical care to create a holistic and personalised experience tailored to each individual’s specific health needs and circumstances. Whether you are at the beginning of your conception journey or in the last weeks of your pregnancy- acupuncture is a beautiful treatment to add to your self care.
My Mission
Hello, I’m Amy. I am a mother of three, an Acupuncturist at Vitality House and Lecturer at Endeavour College of Natural Medicine. Two decades ago I fell in love with Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture when I discovered the positive changes it made to my own fertility and cycles.
Once my own motherhood journey began- I created Australia's first pregnancy day spa (in Perth & Sydney). I have since opted for a quieter existence while I navigate my own journey through juggling teenagers + toddlers by supporting other women during their fertility and pregnancy journey.
My own lived experiences of fertility difficulties, navigating PCOS + Endometriosis, pregnancy, loss, burn out, and now peri-menopause- mean that I truly understand where you are at and how consuming your experience may be.
My mission is to help women feel good again all throughout motherhood. I want to restore your energy levels, balance your hormones and reduce the stress/ anxiety experienced. I genuinely want to help you fill up your cup once more.
Pregnancy Acupuncture
Supports:
-
Feelings of nausea can strike at any time of the day, and may feel particularly worse when you are run down or tired. Acupuncture can be used to help alleviate feeling so sick all of the time, and it’s safe to have acupuncture right from conception to after baby is born.
-
Incorporating acupuncture to alleviate feelings of exhaustion and low energy is beautiful because it’s so gentle on the body without causing a crash of energy afterwards. I would recommend weekly sessions until you notice your energy levels pick up, then space them out as needed.
-
Ideally you want to start having acupuncture for labour preparation from 35 weeks onwards. This will help to encourage your body to relax, ready for the hormonal cascade that starts labour naturally.
-
Acupuncture is a great tool that women use to encourage baby to turn naturally. Ideally start at 32 -34 weeks of pregnancy.
-
Acupuncture is a natural and safe way to try alleviate a sore head during pregnancy.
-
Experiencing pelvic pain through pregnancy isn’t fun at all, so adding acupuncture into the mix can be really helpful to shift the tension or pain experienced during this time.
-
Your mental health during pregnancy (and beyond) is so important. A happy mum is a great mum, and whilst it’s unrealistic to expect to be full of joy constantly, some mums or mums-to-be can have a really hard time emotionally. I personally find having regular acupuncture alleviates feelings of stress and helps me to be a much more calm/ present mum.
-
Not getting sleep during pregnancy is so frustrating. I actually encourage my pregnant clients to have a little mini-nap while they have their acupuncture session. You need to rest whenever you possibly can. Acupuncture will help to settle the mind enough for you to get better quality of sleep.
-
Digestion can get really slow during pregnancy, so we can use acupuncture to try move things along.
-
From 35 weeks onwards, labour preparation acupuncture can help calm the mind and encourage physical relaxation, supporting optimal hormonal balance and pelvic readiness. Regular treatments may ease anxiety, reduce tension and promote gentle uterine and cervical preparedness for labour.

My Approach
I use gentle acupuncture to help reduce stress levels by encouraging the body to slow down and enter a state of calm. In today’s fast-paced world, we often find ourselves burning the candle at both ends, rarely giving enough time to rest or properly nourish our bodies.
Acupuncture offers a beautiful, restorative practice where you become the receiver, allowing your body to fall into a deep state of relaxation and healing. Through careful, subtle stimulation of specific points, the treatment helps balance energy flow and supports the body’s natural ability to recover from the strains of daily life. I want all mothers and mothers to be, to slow down to restore their energy, their sanity and feel good again. It’s all about filling your cup.
